There’s No Place Like Home is a champion
for seniors that served in the military. We support our veteran
clients by providing significant discounts on our rates and by
assisting them in applying for home care benefits from the
Veterans Administration. The VA offers a program that can
reimburse veterans for home care based on certain qualification
criteria:
• Veterans must
have served 1 day during an active war and have had no less then
90 days of active service.
• Surviving spouses must still have been married to the
veteran when they passed away.
• You will need a doctor's order insisting you need the
aid and attendance of another person daily.
• You will need to have limited funds in your checking,
savings IRA and CD accounts.
• You must have received an honorable discharge or
general discharge.
• You may not qualify if you are on state assistance.
